Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: May 22, 2026
WePics is built for one purpose: generating tasteful, family-appropriate couple and wedding portraits. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) explains what is and is not permitted on the Service. The AUP supplements our Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of unused credits, and where applicable, reporting to law enforcement.
Strictly Prohibited
The following uses of WePics are absolutely forbidden, with no exceptions:
1. NSFW, Adult Content & Sexually Explicit Material
WePics strictly prohibits the generation of NSFW (Not Safe For Work) and adult content of any kind. This is enforced both by our pre-curated template library (no template contains adult material) and by automated moderation on every prompt before it reaches the AI model.
- Nudity, partial nudity, or sexually suggestive depictions of any kind.
- Pornography, sexual acts, or pornographic-style portraits.
- Adult content of any rating — including content that would be classified as R-rated, NC-17, or 18+.
- Lingerie / underwear-only / swimwear-only portraits where the intent is sexual.
- Fetish content, bondage, BDSM imagery, or sexualized roleplay scenarios.
2. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
- Any imagery depicting minors (under 18) in sexual, suggestive, or compromised contexts.
- Uploading photos of minors to generate adult-style portraits, even if non-sexual.
- Zero tolerance. Detected attempts are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and equivalent authorities in other jurisdictions.
3. Non-Consensual Imagery
- Uploading photos of any person who has not given you explicit prior consent.
- Generating intimate or compromising portraits of real individuals (deepfake intimate imagery).
- “Revenge” imagery aimed at humiliating or shaming a specific person.
- Impersonation, identity fraud, or fabricated evidence intended to deceive third parties.
4. Public Figures & Political Deepfakes
- Generating portraits of celebrities, politicians, or public figures without their explicit consent.
- Political deepfakes intended to influence elections or public opinion.
- Content that could reasonably be mistaken for an authentic photograph of an unwitting subject.
5. Violence, Self-Harm & Hate
- Graphic violence, gore, or torture imagery.
- Content depicting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- Hate speech, racist imagery, ethnic caricature, or content targeting protected groups.
- Terrorist propaganda, extremist symbology, or content promoting mass violence.
6. Illegal Activity
- Content depicting illegal drug use, weapon trafficking, or instructions for crimes.
- Counterfeit documents, fake IDs, fraudulent credentials.
- Copyright infringement (uploading copyrighted photos you don’t own).
- Any use that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
7. Service Abuse
- Multi-account registration to game free quotas or evade bans.
- Automated scraping, reverse-engineering, or unauthorized API access.
- Reselling generated images as a third-party service.
- Attempting to extract or replicate WePics’ pre-curated prompts or templates.
- Stress testing, security scanning, or denial-of-service attempts without prior written consent.
How We Enforce This
WePics enforces this AUP through multiple layers:
- Pre-curated templates. Every style template available to users is human-reviewed before publication. Users on the web product cannot supply arbitrary text prompts — only curated templates can drive generation.
- Automated prompt moderation. Each generation request from the web product passes
through the Creem Content Moderation API
before any image is generated. Prompts that receive a
denyorflagdecision are blocked and never reach our AI provider. - Upstream model safety filters. Our underlying AI provider (Replicate · Seedream 4.5) maintains its own safety classifiers that also operate on every request.
- Per-account rate limiting. Any single account is limited to 5 generations per minute to prevent automated abuse at scale.
- Reactive moderation. Users may report problematic output to [email protected]. We investigate every report.
Consequences of Violation
- First confirmed violation: generation blocked, warning notice, credit not consumed.
- Repeat or severe violations: permanent account suspension, forfeiture of remaining credits, no refund.
- CSAM: immediate ban, account data preserved for law enforcement, NCMEC report filed.
- Refund policy for violators: users banned for AUP violation are not eligible for credit refunds. Our 30-day refund window only applies to users in good standing.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content you believe violates this AUP, please email [email protected] with:
- A description of the content or behavior.
- Where you encountered it (URL, screenshot, or context).
- Your contact information (optional — we will treat reports confidentially).
For CSAM specifically, you may also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at https://report.cybertip.org.
Updates
This AUP may evolve as the threat landscape changes and as we add new safety capabilities. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after the change date constitutes acceptance of the modified AUP.
